Tiber Construction supports the development and education of the youth in South Africa, as we believe that the country’s future success is hugely dependent on this. Our major beneficiaries currently are:
Tiber is committed to Socio-Economic Development (SED) programmes that create sustainable access to the economy for their beneficiaries. We do this by supporting organisations and programmes that impart transferable skills and enable access to the workplace — such as Tiber Learnerships.
We have supported many worthy organisations in the past, including:
The Solidarity Fund created a platform for all South Africans — from the public and private sectors, civil society and the general public — to contribute to one consolidated effort to assist Government in flattening the curve of the pandemic. Tiber Construction made a contribution to the Solidarity Fund in April 2020 to assist the Fund in its work.
We believe in the growth and promotion of previously disadvantaged people within the organisation. For this reason we retain a large core of directly employed people, and we continuously upgrade the status and position of employees through ongoing training and subsequent promotion.
We run a bursary scheme for the children of our employees who wish to study in the field of construction, employ several students from previously disadvantaged communities, and are associated with various initiatives assisting disadvantaged children of all ages with education. In addition, we seek strategic alliances for specific contracts on a joint-venture basis.
We are currently a Level 3 B-BBEE rated enterprise.
